In south Kumarakom - Alleppey for backwaters(2 days), Munnar(2 days)for hill station and Hampi (A day) for heritage.

Delhi and Agra is primarily for the history. Delhi is probably the longest serving capitals and one of the oldest inhabited cities of the world and it has been the centre of the succession of mighty empires and powerful kingdoms including Mughals. Agra established by Mughal empire is to will discover the Tajmahal. Am sure you have heard of it. Agra - Fatehpur Sikri will be the finest types of Mughal architectural splendour at its height revealing the most loved tales of kings, queens along with their kingdoms.

Jaipur, Udaipur, Jaisalmer come in Rajasthan state and they are most beautiful when compared with other locations. I like Jaisalmer probably the most however watch out for guides as well as the salesman offered with tall claims about every stone there. For Jaisalmer, you might need to visit to Jodhpur also but a day there is enough. Rajasthan is the colorful part of India, you will get best of the hotels to remain here such as the most luxurious ones in India. Get on top of food, music & dance. Do taste Lal Mas if you like non veg and Marwari thali if you're a veg. Besides a high level foodie do read our India Food Travel guide

Should you be traveling around December during Rann utsav festival that takes place in Kutch in Gujarat, you could have a look at adding week more in your itinerary to go to the festival, whenever possible. Rajsthan and Gujarat are bordering states. From Delhi - Agra, you should do Jaipur, Jaisalmer and then come to Udaipur. Udaipur to Ahmedabad (Capital of Gujarat is nearby thus for Rann Utsav, it is possible to travel from Ahmedabad to Bhuj)

Manali, Leh and Kashmir is to witness the beauty and life from the Himalayas. These are generally hill stations and you will see snow from late december to March - April. Ladakh is photogenic therefore is Kashmir. This region can be a true feast on the eyes.In case you are partial to adventure travel and also try one of the himalayan treks, then this is the region because of it provided you have more days at hand or else you are ready to skip other places.

Goa state in west India could be the beach capital and it is as being a pilgrimage to most Indians for entertainment frolic and partying.

In central India , I propose Kahjuraho the industry group of hindu and Jain temples. Its a world heritage Unesco site which is very renowned for Nagara style architectural symbolism and their erotic sculptures. There were 85 temples integrated yesteryear however only 20 have survived till date. Add Kanha and Bandhavgarh provided that you want jungles and wildlife.

In north east region Sikkim and Arunachal Pradesh - Again they're hilly regions and extremely beautiful ones. Arunachal is supposedly probably the most beautiful areas of India. You might want to arrived at Kolkata ( Capital of West Bengal in East region) to go to Sikkim and Arunachal Pradesh either by flight or by train. These region aren't that well connected but you are really worth the visit.

From Kolkata , you may even travel to Andaman Nicobar Islands if you value beaches and aquatic events.Returning to South , you should do Hampi, again a world heritage unesco Site and Kerela which you could experience backwaters in Kumarakom and Allepy. Munnar is near to Alleppey and therefore for a few tea estate eye tonic, you can visit Munnar too.
